We need to elect good, intelligent, thoughtful people to office. How do we get there given the entrenched interests that normally overrule the public interest? What's gone right recently? What's gone wrong recently? How do we improve our government by improving our choices for public office?
Fox 59 might be the only news organization outside of the IBJ still practicing actual journalism. Fair, balanced, and hard hitting when need be.Thanks for the link. One of my greatest disappointments in the City-Council members is that there are so many conflicts of interest. Many hold jobs within the city or county government, or have jobs that are connected via government contracts. And that wouldn't be a problem if they'd abstain from voting once in a while, but it seems to almost never happen.

Indy Student, unfortunately that is the way government is. We the people have let them get to this point. Everyone seems to have an agenda. Even innocent seeming bloggers.
I think if you disqualify certain people from running for office that you would probably end up in court. As far as the piece, thank you for the mention, Pat!
