City-County Council Municipal Corporations Committee Calls 'Special Meeting'

Thanks to alert commentor, 'Downtown Indy', on Ogden On Politics blog, we discovered that there is a Special Meeting called for the Municipal Corporations Committee of the City-County Council day after tomorrow. The public notice says that the meeting will be held in Room 260 of the City-County Building beginning at 6:00 pm, Thursday, April 16. The only item on the agenda is:

UPDATE ON THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BOARD – Robert Grand, Chairman and Barney Levengood, Executive Director

The committee is composed of the following Councillors:
Michael McQuillin (Chair)
Jeff Cardwell
Maggie Lewis
Robert Lutz
Dane Mahern
Jackie Nytes
Christine Scales

    Will they take public comments at the meeting?

    That is not clear. Since the purpose is to gather information and not to take action on a proposal, any opportunity for public comment would be at the discretion of the Committee Chair.

    He could decide either way.

    I contacted Councillor McQuillen, Chairman of the Municipal Corporations Committee of the Council. He said the public will be able to ask questions at the Special Meeting.
